In many disciplines, a single chainring is all it takes. The combination of the appropriate chainring and a cassette with a correspondingly large sprocket range (sold separately) gives the right gear ratio to be able to convince in any field of application – whether Gravel, Vyclocross, TT, Triathlon or Criterium.
Also in its current crank models, the Force 1 – the pioneer in terms of 1-speed drivetrain – features a lightweight and stable Direct Mount chainring with technology for maximum chain retention. In addition, the 1×12-speed cranksets convince thanks to carbon arms with their low weight and increased stiffness at the same time. But also the already proven technology makes its contribution to greater durability of the entire system.
Features of the SRAM Force 1 crankset
- carbon crank arms for greater stiffness and less weight
- X-SYNCâ„¢ chainring with Narrow-Wide tooth profile for maximum chain retention
- DUBâ„¢ bottom bracket technology for increased stiffness and durability
- possibility for Powermeter upgrade
- upgradeable with Aero chainrings (sold separately)
Chainrings with X-SYNCâ„¢ technology are an integral part of SRAM 1-speed shifting systems. The sophisticated tooth design with high, square edges ensures maximum performance and durability. Not only the narrow, sharp tooth profile grips the chain earlier than teeth with the traditional triangular shape, also the rounded chamfer edges support the chain’s guidance.
The unit of bottom bracket and oversize crank shaft (⌀ 28.99 mm) is at the heart of the DUB™ (Durable Unified Bottom Bracket) technology, which allows a symbiosis between stiffness and durability. The system approach created by integrating the chainring, crank, spindle and bottom bracket not only improves durability thanks to an optimized seal, but also raises the performance of the drivetrain to a new level.
